ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN
Description
This program will develop the theoretical knowledge and skills needed by the environmental health technician to identify, assess, treat, and correct environmental risks, issues, and challenges.
Training Objectives
This course will provide you with the technical capacity to:
- Handle and maintain various laboratory equipment.
- Carry out various clinical laboratory tests under laid down procedures.
- Keep record and write reports among other things.
Admission Requirements
Four (4) ‘O’ level credit passes in:
- Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE).
- National Examination Commission (NECO).
- General Certificate of Education (GCE).
- Candidates must have credits in English, Biology/Health Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics at not more than two (2) sittings.
- Duration: The course duration is 3 years with an Environmental Health Technician Diploma and a Practice License by the Environmental Health Officers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (EHORECON).
