Description

Pharmacy technicians are medical professionals who work with pharmacists to help patients and make sure they get the best care. They often are the people who find, package, and label prescribed medications, their work is then checked by pharmacists. Pharmacy technicians work in your neighborhood pharmacy or places like:

  • Hospital pharmacies.
  • Medical Offices.
  • Nursing Homes.
  • Prisons.
  • The military and even,
  • Veterinary practices.

Training Objectives

  • To train suitably qualified person in the basic knowledge of handling simple medicines for use at grassroots level under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
  • To train suitable persons to the level of rendering assistance to registered Pharmacist in Manufacturing, (Industrial), Clinical Services, Academics and General (Community) Pharmacies.

Admission Requirement

  • 5 credit passes in English Lang., Mathematics, Biology ,Physics and Chemistry in any of GCE, SSCE, WAEC OR NECO in not more than 2 sittings.
  • Duration: The Course duration is 3 years (Six Semesters)
